Gifted Math Education
Recognizing the unique learning needs of mathematically gifted young children, I developed a comprehensive mathematics curriculum designed specifically for early childhood gifted education. This project bridges advanced mathematical concepts with age-appropriate pedagogy, ensuring that young learners with exceptional abilities are both challenged and engaged.
The curriculum covers foundational topics including number sense, logical reasoning, spatial visualization, and early algebraic thinking—presented through interactive activities and real-world problem-solving scenarios. Rather than accelerating through standard content, the program emphasizes depth of understanding, creative application, and the development of mathematical intuition.
Currently implemented in over 100 kindergartens across China, these materials have reached thousands of young learners. The project has also generated an award-winning research paper on applied mathematical modeling in early education, recognized at the municipal level.
Through this work, I aim to democratize access to high-quality mathematics education for gifted children and contribute to the broader dialogue on talent development in STEM fields.
